Delectable Brazil Nut Balls

Following on from yesterday information on the power house the Brazil nut is I thought I would share this delicious recipe to add to your repertoire. This is one of my favourite treats when my 3pm craving hits.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons of cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup of almond butter
  • 3 teaspoons of maple syrup
  • Pinch of Himalayan pink salt
  • 1 cup brazil nuts

Method:

  • Melt the coconut oil in a sausepan
  • While it is melting add the Brazil nuts to a food processor and blend until they are broken down.
  • Then mix the coconut oil, cacao, almond butter, maple syrup, brazil nuts and salt in the food processor and process until the ingredients are combined and smooth.
  • Then use a spoon to scoop balls of the mixture into a lined baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle the top with crumbled brazil nuts and sea salt.
  • Store in the fridge until you’re ready to eat!
